How did you acquire the vehicle?

Bought the car as a wreck after a serious accident.

Brief known history of the vehicle

Anecdotally was sold new to a Mr Carroll who was a pawnbroker and rent collector in Redfern. Passed to a relative where it lay derelict for many years until fully restored in 1970's. Subsequently passed through a number of owners and we acquired the wreck in 1997. Restoration took until 2005.

What do you like & dislike about your car?

Very comfortable touring and nice to drive. Has proved very reliable. 1st 2nd and 3rd ratios very close together and top is almost an overdrive. 3rd gear could be a little higher.

Fun facts or any other details you’d like to include?

Originally had compressed air start but it operates at 400PSI. and the compressor, which runs all the time, makes the motor vibrate. Car starts easily on the crank so we are in no rush to get it working.
