Newcastle Branch Christmas Party

There was a good roll up of members to our Christmas Party held at Bargoed House, Swansea. There were six veterans that made the trek with a little over 40 people of all ages.

Given what the weather and fire conditions have been like for the last couple of weeks, we got a bit of a reprieve from the smoke with a strong easterly wind blowing the smoke back inland. Out of the wind it was quite warm, but in the shade a few were saying it was a bit cool.

Once again we enjoyed a great BBQ & salad lunch, followed by apple pie and pavlova for dessert. A big thank you to everyone who helped with lunch.

Being able to share the gate code with those attending the day before meant everyone could arrive and leave at the time of their choosing, making it a bit easier for all involved.

The first 'event' for the Newcastle Branch for 2020 will be the January meeting, with our first car outing being the Breakfast Outing in February. Further details will be distributed early in the New Year.

Happy Christmas everyone.
