Gathering our veteran cars and their owners at the National Rally is a tradition that both celebrates
motoring heritage and demonstrates that vehicles that are more than a century old are reliable,

drivable and very enjoyable.

The Veteran Car Club of Australia (NSW) invites you to join us at the 2026 National Rally in the
Central West of NSW to enjoy a week of motoring and camaraderie. Over six days we’re offering
you the opportunity to explore the Cowra region’s best scenic attractions, savour its delicious food
and drink, and drive your veteran car to your heart's content.

Cowra is in Wiradjuri country in rural NSW. At 310 metres above sea level the climate in this
charming country town in September is generally mild to warm days and cool nights, typical of
early spring in the region. The Lachlan River meanders through Cowra and among the rolling hills,
valleys and plains that are renowned for quality sheep, wool and crop production, around Cowra
are some of Australia’s leading sustainable and organic wineries too.

The town has a rich Indigenous and European heritage, it’s been a gold rush town and is the site
of unique Australian WW2 history. There’s the superb and tranquil Japanese gardens - they’re the
largest in the Southern Hemisphere, plus a wide variety of cultural attractions and experiences,
including museums and galleries, a sculpture walk and stunning murals in Cowra and nearby
townships.

There is a range of excellent accommodation options in Cowra, all essential services and a good
selection of shops. Secure storage for car trailers has been arranged, and we have collaborated
with local historic vehicle owners on routes and venues.
We have planned six days that will give you ample opportunities to explore the attractions in the
area, and to relax and enjoy superb local food and wine. Touring routes for the rally have been
carefully selected to suit our veteran cars and to give drivers and passengers ample scope to enjoy
the picturesque landscapes.

2026 in Cowra will be a National Rally not to be missed! We encourage veteran car enthusiasts to
put these dates, 6-12 September 2026, in their calendar, and we look forward to seeing you in
Cowra in 2026.
