Spears Point to Mulbring

On Sunday the 10/09/2017 a small number of the Newcastle Branch met at Speer's Point Park to travel together to Mulbring. It was a beautiful day, although in some areas there was a fair bit of smoke around from the hazard reduction burning that was taking place in the Watagan Mountains to the west of Lake Macquarie.

After having some morning tea in the park the small group set off for Mulbring via Teralba, Barnsley and West Wallsend. A nice drive of about 32 km's with very little traffic to contend with. One more veteran joined us at lunch taking the number to four with one modern.

Despite the small numbers it was a nice run on a very pleasant day to be out in the veteran. It was great to be joined by Peter on his first run with the Club in his recently acquired Model T. The car looks very tidy and seems to perform well. He and John his navigator seemed to have the starting procedure all under control, and Peter seemed to be right at home handling the Ford.
